Oh how it feels to revisit lost loves
And to see them in your mind so lovely
Give me just one moment to see her again
So nothing can take away that truth
I would rather die than forget her
I would rather fall into a pit of a thousand knives
The pain it does fade away from my mind
And so I do forget my love for her
But never will I let go my memory of her
Her short black hair once long
Her eyes always looked with questions
Her smile that made days warm and more worth living
For she could have been my love of loves
And inspiration that never fades away
A love that cannot tarnish from my thoughts
Though they are not made of metal
And if I ever see her again I hope my love is gone
She has a grasp I can’t not remember
And so her love will always render
Such soft pain I can to me so plainly know
She is the love that from me can’t go
And so is my plight from light to light
My love for her gets darker and farther away
Oh let me see her let me love her again

I am the two-toed wanderer

well, she sure got your attention
I hope you are ok with this comment?
I felt some of the rhyme was a bit forced, not as smoothly free flowing as some of your other poems have been, but you know, I read them all

Love is so powerful and hard to capture in words, but your poem is wonderful and truly captures the obsessive pasion one often has to those they love.
