Artist: Ron Russel

In Full Sail
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

I travel the solar system,
Swinging from a comet’s tail,
~Among 9 spinning planets,
With my spirit in full sail.

I’m hot like planet Mercury,
I brim with Venus love.
I’m in tune with the Universe
And all its Light thereof.

It’s to Earth that I return to,
But it’s not where I am from.
I hail from a distant star world,
~Far from your Father Sun.

I swing from crescent moons,
And soar among the stars.
I slide down cosmic moonbeams,
And glow like planet Mars.

I’m big like planet Jupiter,
I wear many a Saturn ring.
I’m erratic like Uranus
As thru' Milky Way I wing.

Neptune bears his trident,
Tiny Pluto’s far from home.
I'm in perpetual motion,
As merrily I roam.

I travel the solar system,
Swinging from a comet’s tail,
~Among 9 spinning planets
With my spirit in full sail.

“We are borne of star dust,
and to the stars we shall one day return.”
~ Linda L. Dowd

And through the tears and sorrow in your life,
you continue to bless us with the most wonderful of words.
This piece is outstanding dear Linda!
~Caring hugs, Nancy~

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments!
Recently I have been more of a star-gazer than usual and hence my writing of this poem. I'm pleased that you enjoyed reading it.

Love & Star Light,
Linda

Earth Angel, I understand only too well, why, like me, you have become a star gazer.  It helps a lot to look up into that infinite, silent, navy blue sky of sweet, unpolluted air with its twinkling diamond messengers wording comforting Sky Angel replies down at you.  I am glad you are doing that.

Love, light, comfort and prayers

I love the stars and here in the great North they take on a whole new meaning. Your poem has captured all the light and love they continually glow.

I hope all is well and please email me to catch up.

Well, dear Linda, you soar so majestically among our planets and I am happy  to soar with you along your radiant words ...

This is a keeper for me ... another stargazer, lost  in contemplation.

Those planets are not barren, I just read, but life evolves on other dimensions we can't yet see, but sensitive awakened hearts and souls like you CAN.

wONDERFUL!

lOVE AND HUGS.

This piece is absolutely breathtaking! The visuals are perfection and the thoughts behind them whisper to my daydreaming heart.

I look forward to finding more of your work, as well as the many other talented artists I've disovered in this bit of cyberspace!

Linda, I agree with all those before me.
I am one who loves soaring high above every chance I get ( when the winds are calm).
Beautiful read my friend, I hope you don't mind if I print this up.

Hugs to you my friend.
