Night comes again
and daylight then-
I am shadows dusk till dawn
happy fading till it's gone

Night comes again
and daylight then-
I watch you fade away
as blue begins another day

Night comes again
and daylight then-
your kiss to me, so warm and deep
becomes snow-flurries in my sleep

Night comes again
and daylight then-
your touch and scent quick to stun
falling up against the sun

But darkness is for slumber
and shadows desperate near their end
boiling over or sinking under
my heart will never cease to wonder.

Night comes again
and daylight then.

WOW!  I am lost for words.
This is absolutely beautiful!
Love the picture too.

Well done, Dixie.

I've been wandering through these forums, reading and reading, there is so much talent here .. I finally just had to join, couldn't help myself   This piece is beautiful, I love it!

Dixie dear, passing shadows, you yourself are the interpretation of this beautiful piece of poetry, the alternating of day and night, bringing moments of deep awareness.

Love and hugs.

I keep coming back to this one, so I'm adding it to my library now, it's been calling to me all morning.  If it were a book, the page would be worn out by now
