Personally touched
    by the prayers of loneliness
by being human
the blessing squanders

I was lonelier
when I was married
or living the uncertainty of dating
then I am now,
alone by choice

promises start
then fizzle out
seemingly silly
pain
misery
dispair
loss
is not worth the
full moons
breathing faint stars
of broken dreams
that rip & tear
apart...
the heart

Yes,
scents linger,
laughter echoes
and
conversations
are long into morning

but...

Being alone
is an abstract idea
a theory based on
society’s anomalies
which I’ve never thought
applied to me

I’ve gone fisin~
for opportunity
where "we" is not an option

Looking for emotion & feelings
using a word called discovery
loosely,
without thoughts
or the prying
demanding eyes of ownership

And I promise results of recovery
of acceptance
of great peace amidst the pain
serene skies and a bright blue sea
unexplored, yet bonding, bonding
the me of me

I am the access to a deeper consciousness
awakening an inner network of focus
relaxing my efforts
my own woman, without the man expossed

Producing self-expression & identity
undisturbed by disagreement
guilt or unworthiness

Replacing a mind of curiosity
I’m allowed to truth, in accurate force
the currancy of wealth
without the
shells of imbalance & chaos

Pure thoughts, pure feelings
alive in Purpose, In Meaning
inner qualities are not growing demands
or expectations, that I cannot ever be
or live up to

Alone is my sactity, my devotion

I am

perspective partnering both
the spiritual and physical
energies of life
tapped into some reverberation of peace
emitted from the silence that I so love
the freedom that so fondly speaks
the caress of wings

I'm allowed to live
allowed to die
without disappointing anyone

allowance is the beloved that holds me...

Yes, indeed, we are all so very relational and, yes, what you've written here I think is so very very true... Sometimes the relationship that we must focus on is simply us getting to know ourselves better.

Enjoyed reading.

At times I envy the woman who chooses
to live her life as she wishes with no demands
or expectations.

This is so well written Lee.
Sending heart hugs your way.

Don't bring me down now,
let me stay here for awhile
You know life's too short,
let me bathe here in your smile.

Talk about a parallel heartbeat! I really felt this one, Lee.
Some people never learn the difference between those words, alone...lonely.
I am alone most of the time, but rarely ever have I felt lonely.

"the freedom that so fondly speaks
the caress of wings"
That was a favortite part...
but you had me feeling enlightenment the entire way.
If only I can keep your lessons.

Lee~

'loss
is not worth the
full moons'

(I just like this little thought)

This entire write shows knowledge ...
that one plus one doesn't always make ONE need the sum~

There is understanding in your thoughts ... the comprehend of who you are and may be content to be ...~

To know is to know ...
when we are whole within ourselves~

What a fine exposition of an inner spiritual process, culminating in a final line that draws it all to a fine edge. This is the stuff of personal truth, well expressed.

Sometimes we can only learn to choose freely by stripping away all the other voices (should, must, can't, have to). Then and only then can we know what we really wanted all along--and finally have it. I hope this is not the end of this journey for you. You have too gentle a heart to abuse it, but you also have too great a heart to hoard it.

A poem's just a poet in a word.
