Almost lost
fated to drown
in its selfmade puddle,

your image saved,

siphoned
through the sun's
early morning sketch;

the storms of midnight
no longer screaming.

I touch you,

softly,
upon first glance,

the shadows
between, erased,

in the dawn
of hazel-eyed
flowers.

ms inky..

wondering of you on the surface
treading water
while laughing
may I throw you a life guard
to climb up onto?

enjoyed you ms

This reminded me of lovers parted by sleep...
"hazel-eyed flowers".  One of a kind, you are.

let me stay here for awhile

let me bathe here in your smile.
