The wind blows in lilt of melody
I tilt my head, listening to sounds
winds circle gently, these chimes on wind
carry me, soft breeze, home once again

for in a long ago moment I wound a watch
to check the tick of now and again
I listened hard to the round in my palm
of tell me tell me of now and then...

I am listening...remembering
notes played once upon a yesterday
when the sun felt warm upon my face
while basking in heavenly amber glow...

for when bluegreen eyes were nearer mine
as honeysuckle scent grew so strong
then mesmerized we toward silksome stream
as we basked in midnight sun so long...

In flash of mem'ry I then, was there
a captured moment time standing still
these visions seen, bygone days of youth
where wild and free my soul still abides.

the entire poem was magnficant, but this, this was my favorite....

for when bluegreen eyes were nearer mine
as honeysuckle scent grew so strong
then mesmerized we toward silksome stream
as we basked in midnight sun so long...

I've said it before and I'll say it again..
Your voices blend in perfect harmony.
Well done dear ladies...well done.
Hugs to you both, Nancy

Don't bring me down now,
let me stay here for awhile
You know life's too short,
let me bathe here in your smile.

Thank you Donna and Karilea for taking our senses down the paths of yesteryear.

Dear Donna and Karilea, first of all thank you for the lesson: both the words used in the title are new acquisitons of my vocabulary in English. And that said, I have to add that I love your creative collaboration very much, a perfect harmony resonates through your beautiful words.

Love and hugs.

Duets are like that...
one poet has a need to write,
the other cannot write for need...
and then the songs begin.

I thank Donna for taking the reins
on this one, for allowing me to
intersperse my lines...

I was but a follower in this...
and without Donna, it would not
have happend.

Thank you all for reading.  I think
it would be nice to see another
duet marathon with several of our
talented writers.  I hope a few of you
will knock on another poet's window soon...

and delve right in.

thank you, daughter.
