Reality

Shadows hidden away return
doubts, fears I thought I overcome
They begin as whispers and plant
their seeds of loathing and darkness

I let myself think I was enough
That I could be all you needed
I let myself believe that I
had found an ever lasting love

Now as reality becomes clear
and this pain settles in my heart
I realize I was chasing dreams
that could never belong to me

"There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness."    -Friedrich Nietzsche

such a good day, you have posted....Reality is so hard sometimes.....keep chasing those dreams!... and say hiya to dave...

And so it those we live with
and should know who elude us
But we can still love them
we can love completely
without complete understanding

thought of a very easy to read book for you, but cannot remember the name of it...
it's about love, change, which is life constantly changing...evolving...and about sea shells, she uses the ocean as an example...ohhhh darn...

anyway, this was great and one thing
there is no dream on the face of this earth that you couldn't have, but...perhaps that particular dream wasn't good enough for YOU?
Think about it...

Have a happy 4th

Thank you all for your comments It's been awhile since I've posted anything so I wasn't sure I wanted to.

It seems my muse goes away when I am happy *chuckles*  Some days I have MASSIVE bouts of insecurity... and that is when I manage to get something out.

That is where this came from.  For you who know me, Dave and I are fine and very much in love.  Some days I just get.. well let's just say overly emotional *chuckles*

Reality might change if you change your way of looking at things.
This very beautiful and touching write shows indeed a great deal of insecurity, but I am sure that by expressing this through poetry, you will improve your self-confidence... and see yourself as you REALLY are: whole and beautiful.
One of the intrinsic characteristics of our dreams is that they are not limited ... they are vast!
Welcome back!

Love,
Margherita
