The Journey

Many have gone before me, many will go after,
on the same journey, yet I walk alone,
you've been there through tears and laughter,
but you have a pathway of your own

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

please, come sit down here now
just a little while longer with me
let me look into your eyes
and seize this moment into memory

let me smell the scent of you
let me touch your skin
let me capture a picture
that I can remember when
it's cold and hard
and I'm at the end

when I think I just can't move on,
I can recall the love I've known
and find strength to keep from falling apart,
in the knowledge that you, too, walk alone
but still carry me in your heart.

A touching goodbye.....that's one of the hardest things to experience, yet moments like this make it bearable. Beautifully done!

(((((Dixie)))))

You rendered melancholy beautifully.

You are not meant though to be warmed only by sweet memories, you are meant to create new sweet moments NOW. And you can, beautiful one!

Love and hugs.

Dix?

This is what our children do for us,
when we've given them our best
in a momentous time, in doing
what we have felt
is best for them.

You are a good mother...
you never expected her
to give this much back
to you.

God bless you both.

Sit that bench well...
for several decades.

She love you...
and you are very well
within her skin.

Oh Dixie, I feel your heartache. But, you know, they do eventually go their own way. Some go sooner than others. I am sure she will be alright.

Ah yes, we all walk separate paths, but it is the beauty of two paths that join or have joined that seems to stick with us forever.

Nice write,
