The Life Spring

~ Linda L. Dowd ~

Life is but a spirit’s dream,
Of mortal stitch in fractured seam.
Where lessons learned can light the trail,
Of sacred quests to Holy Grail.

Beyond the realm of mankind’s know,
Wisdom’s gained through stitch and sew.
Your thoughts are forms soon realized,
And be as pure as babe baptized.

Look within your inner space,
Which holds the visage of God’s face.
For there the Fount of Force does dwell,
The Host of Heaven, ~ The Life Spring Well.

Clear, running waters bathe our soul,
And heal all ails and make us whole.
Losses, pains, and all our sorrows,
Are washed away for new tomorrows.

Life is but a spirit's dream,
Of mortal stitch in fractured seam.
Where lessons learned can light the trail,
Of sacred quests to Holy Grail.

“We are borne of star dust,
and to the stars we shall one day return.”
~ Linda L. Dowd

Beautiful piece dear Linda.
Still holding you close to my heart.

Don't bring me down now,
let me stay here for awhile
You know life's too short,
let me bathe here in your smile.

While still tears flow, there begins this healing process through the very essence of our soul, who "knows".

So very beautifully expressed, dear ((((((Linda)))))). The recent sad events in your life have inspired you to bring forth this captivating truth.

Love and hugs.

Out of sadness comes the water, the true charity of those moments of life given

As if the pain is the poem, as much as the poem is beauty masking that pain

Or those pleasures of life that are as much an everyday happening

a poet who cares

This brings to mind I sang as a child in VBS..."Deep and wide, deep and wide, there's fountain flowing deep and wide" -- a wonderful, happy tune teaching young kids with hand motions the reality of what you said....much enjoyed, my friend.  *hugs* ....lily jo

Dear poet friends ~

I have read each and every one of your warm replies. As some of you know, my Mom has recently passed and it looks as though my father is not far behind her. It is all so tragic and sad.

Thank you for your support of my writing and for your kindness.

Love & Eternal Light,
Linda
