it's not as if
my apple
is redder
or shinier
than yours

it's just that it is
my apple

and I have learned
to love the way
it reflects
my image
when I polish it,
just so....

Oh, yes, Margherita!  Especially the last stanza!  I am also a grrrrrreat fan of "The Little Prince."  It was one of the setbooks for my French pupils when I was a teacher.
