Soon the Day will Love

The dry skin of day
warm like marbles left in sun
bursting silent all their color
to roll their pleasures turn

How to trip so far come far
the lasting kiss cannot resist
how lately singing brings it
this bliss of pounding tide

Even the cool mist can tell
the edge is softly down so up
and all the patter of the wings
make chorus of the wind and things

So soon the tide
will tell the distance
and on the other side of waiting
the day will love and all

The day will love ...

Such a deeply beautiful poetic intuition, dear Martie!

Love it!

Love and hugs.

"and on the other side of waiting

Beautiful poem, Martie, and I just love the "and all" - how much that encompasses if the truth be known.  I'll be in Seattle this weekend for a whole three weeks with my son - exciting stuff!  Got your number, Martie dear!

If anything your poem reminds me of a current situation, and an on line connection that is so new. The question being, will it last and grow, or again was this just a tidal occasion.

Well, look what I found -- a Martie poem to start my day!

This one has such a strange break to it, of surety within some discord....it is like the broken chorus inside a Chopin concerto, that takes us away from the melodic beginning and makes us ready for some inevitable harmony at the end. There's much that is written within this poem, just behind the words....I can feel it throbbing in there.

this was a glorious read, the Title alone, captured me...but this

Even the cool mist can tell
the edge is softly down so up
and all the patter of the wings
make chorus of the wind and things

Martie, this was enchanting...quit remarkable you are

loved this

how beautiful Martie....such a serene feeling to this...

And so it those we live with
and should know who elude us
But we can still love them
we can love completely
without complete understanding
