Never to Depart

26 June 2006

A broken heart
a shattered soul
All left out
alone

Her beauty hidden
behind eyes of sorrow
Broken promises
clasped to her breast
This child and its mercy
seeing freedom

An angel, a six figured star
her emblem of triumph, over cross
An emotion, a dimple to her frown
her smile pleasant, yet undecided

As flowers of magenta
gather in her soul
A lovingness neither lost
her hope gathered to His heart
This man called Jesus
her Christ never to depart

“A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside
the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my
cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the
days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
Psalms 23: 1-6 KJV

5 minutes to write one poem, and a lifetime of joy to another person, or for 100's to enjoy.

Thanks for your kind words

blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
