Lady Luck and Me By Paul Wilson I’ve pulled the handles and rolled the dice each time lady luck turned her back on me I tell you… she hasn’t been very nice I’ve lost most my cash, no one to blame but me I’m hoping the wheels of fate aren’t blind and this time they will read three of a kind Shoot the moon let it ride I need to win money is getting short…I’m way behind Looking for an open seat… deal me in I’ll play some Texas Hold Em just for fun Pocket aces they sure are nice to see I’m hoping my good luck has just begun This gambling fever lives inside of me feeding off the action…needing the rush Lady luck sure is on my side tonight one player has quads…I have a straight flush Raise the limit…I’m ready for the best tonight lady luck has finally found me They stare me down trying to get a read as I go all in with just a jack three The table is getting short, down to three the short stack pushes and says he’s all in The river gives me a full house I win just you and I let the battle begin The dealing is done and I’m the winner thanks guy’s for your contributions I say Tomorrow we’ll get together again if lady luck decides she wants to play ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |

You can almost feel the excitement in the air....good description....I see you are familiar with many of the terms they use. Funny isn't it? How something that was always hushed away has become such an exciting game for some.... I'll never play...because of the fear of becoming addicted and then the problems really jump forth... |

Dixie...I hope Lady Luck is on your side if you hit the casino's. Thanks for the read...Paul JL...I really know what you mean, most of the time it's everyone around me that has the good luck, but I am always glad to see others win, no matter if I win or not. Glad you enjoyed this...Paul Smart Chick...Well it hasn't really changed, I still lose most times I gamble, but I always set a limit and really enjoy it, so maybe one day I will hit the big one.I appreciate your reply...Paul Barry...You are so right, for so long gambling was only done in back rooms and now it is main stream, the times sure do change. I was introduced to gambling as a very young boy because my grand parents owned a club and they gambled daily.
