I want to die
dancing
with some wolf
a throat the only trophy

I want to die
without a breath
between my elemental stiffness
and the rigidity of death

I want to die
the hero discovered naked
the traitor proven right

but let me die tomorrow
"The Day the Earth Stood Still"
is on the late show tonight
