listening
within a memory
to the long drawn out
neverending wail
of the humpback

transporting me to
another Wailing wall
where I once hid a message
in the stone facade;
now memories resurface within these sounds,
like Solomon's stones and ancient histories,
beginnings and endings
of life forms
harpooned

and I hear the cries,
dueling humpbacks
begging

~help me, please~
~help me, please~
~help me, please~

and I fall once again
upon these calloused knees
and scratch at the Earth
with bleeding fingertips

begging

to outer space
and what for me appears
to be
a nonexistent entity
of generosity and kindness
hope and justice
and all the other things
for which my knees have ached
and bled continuously

and if you've ever heard
the cry of the whale
you might fathom
the wail of me tonight
as I cry the harvesting
of the ocean's giants

for I hear them crying

~help me, please~
~help me, please~
~help me, please~

this was for me, the best of the best...it echoes through rings of time...deep into the heart of soul...and I sit here, stunned by this song of life...the energy it speaks, the despair it enfolds, the body of life and meaning of each and every thing...how so we are connected...

sorrow for giving a kink in the neck,
but thanks for sharing my pain
Lee? oh my, what a generously exhuberant reply

I ache with you, deeply.

Thank you for this powerful write. We CAN change the world, if we get over indifference.

Love,
Margherita

Caring Kacy,

I am so moved by your words.
I can hear the whales wailing
and tears are falling from my heart.

May your own voice be heard as well.

~ for the love of the whales,

Linda

And you have brought me to my knees with this one Kacy.
