you were always

stretched too thin
heartskin even thinner
than the bones
you dangled before me
languidly
after sunset fell

and you said your heart
was born in hell
and it was true

you were always under
the high water marks
of the damned

but I loved you
if only for one moment
and knew I was drowning

so I pulled the plug,
saw you go out
with the tide
that never
returned

If we are not careful ... we can drown under a lost souls spell.
Great write Kacy. Keepin' it. hugs, Chris

Powerful as thunder, delicate as a spider's web!  Leaves me breathless.  Sorry that you have had to carry the pain but grateful, for your sake and ours, that you created such beauty out of it.
