Words like droplets to fall, intermittently placed,
leaving splotches of wet where it used to be dry.
There are times they're so sparse they are all but erased
by what caused them to form, but, the question is "why" ?

A significant chance of a shower exists,
widely scattered, yet, still not that much of a storm,
just a smattering here, with perhaps a few twists,
unpredictably vague, holding quite true to form.

Once the front has moved on we'd expect things to clear,
with your average rainfall perhaps this is true,
yet,I've lingering doubts, given this atmosphere,
that such rules would apply to words out of the blue.

Though the climate may change with respect to what's known,
some disturbances take on a life of their own.

into the library
before you blink, before anyone can think
too long about the 'moody' blues
