In some way we are all like rivers. Sometimes rivers are soft, smooth, and calm, like nothing is wrong.  Sometimes rivers hit rocks and are hard to get over. Then there are times when you can barely bare it like the river it flowing so fast it’s unbelievable. So how are we alike? Some people might also say river look calm on top but furious inside, just like us. We show ourselves as calm but inside we have everything going on.  Rough times come and go. But as you go on it gets easier to move, because you get stronger with every hard decision. So you tell me. How are we alike?

I think you have said it very accurately...
Rivers hide so much beneath such a tranquil
surface...

You are right.

Our existence is well compared to a river. And we move towards a goal.
