Fare thee well,Thou fleeting, fading love
No glimmer of hope or wishes to the stars above
Love lies roadside so frail and slain
It lies so weakly lifeless and blood-stained
And the heart now of stone once again goes unclaimed
So you were the harlot who lurks in the dark
Entering lives just to claim another heart
Was I another conquest, Was I just a part
Of the quest to leave a trail of shattered hearts

Sweet dreams of love carry me away
From toil of night and cold dark days
For now the joys of love doth lie
As cold hello's and warm goodbye's
And as I lay me down to sleep
I beckon to know why my heart doth bleed
And why I let down the walls of my heart
If its just going to get torn apart

I guess it is true. A person is really his or her own worst critic. Thank you

the writer pays attention to the feel more while the reader focuses on the words and I can tell you as a reader that the words are beautiful.  In pure honesty, it could be one of the best poems i've read in a while
