"Missing those days
and the way we never were..."

so painfully true...

...and all that follows, said perfectly!

"And I still don't know
if I will be here a year from now
or if you will ever have any inclination
of my heartache and what it took
to turn away and let go"

Wonderful torch song Blues. It sings so sad.

Dear Lori, this is a wonderful write, the melancholy is so deeply felt ... the gesture of making a bed is so different when it's a lonely place, yes.

Love and hugs, beautiful heart.

Bluesy,  that is a most beautiful picture
of a lady who writes such wonderful words.

I hope your days are clear, your nights
are calm and your heart ever healing...

Ah Miss Lori,
I spotted a reply on the poem of another and was delighted to sea you again. I think of you often and long for just a word to know how you are. I pray all is well and that you know you are not forgotten. The bonus is this lovely poem of ache and times gone by.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
