Faintest Scent Of Possibility

Thunder defined the boundaries between
Sullen cheek of stormy mayhem glistened
Pulled collar, as intent blew the gray base low
Dubious and derisive,
A fist pound of bellowed sound lay
Though disorder, to its compliment, made change

Warily, to watch the mirage tempt form
In some outmoded dawdle on a charcoal page
Bending at the waist, I reached for chalk
Patiently lessening, the darker hours attempted
On a nebulous flight, morning came
Ten toes poised upon the garden table
With my hands behind my head

And true enough spring began in earnest
Opening, the peering buds in thirst to sip
Perhaps it was inherited, that intensity to stare
Or more so, courage to wait and see
There was a second glance through fluttering lids
The simmering smell of come summer
And true enough…it did

nature certainly does it's own thing, and when we allow it just to be as it should, things seem all that more miraculous...

TD:
So many lines and verses to comment on.
This is one of your best!  Beautiful write.
Vividly expressed as if to pull the reader right into the portrait
you have painted here.  What a beauty!!

Loveliness. The imagery sucked me into it...
great job.
