Floating gently on a cloud....

Shadow memories flicker,
No more pain, no tears,
The gunpowder is spent.
Empty shells remain.
Shells that merely resemble
The heaven and the hell
We danced through
Once upon a time
So very long ago,
Or so it seems…

Remembering feelings,
Their silhouettes appear;
The blood my heart wept
Is scarlet no longer, as
Starburst, rotten rainbow
Sorrow fades into pastels.
You are my yesterday,
But the sun rises anew,
We dance no more and
Today is mine.

The come and ever go
of memories...

a lovely reprise...
with haunting sounds...
