Truth should be like breath
Take it in and let it go
    Then take another
How can you live a full life
By holding onto one breath?

If the truth is like a breath.
Then breathing sure can hurt sometimes...

Debo,
Then let it out and take another.  Don't hold it.   ::smiles::

*******************************

Life isn't meant to be lived
with just one idea
of what is true or not.
The truth is in many things
and is not limited
to only one concept
When we stop limiting ourselves
by our concepts,
then we can truly live

I love how you put this Lar
in your lovely poem of breath
your analogy, so simple,
yet, so profound
A very good teaching to remember
when we find ourselves
holding onto our convictions
How can Ultimate Reality (God, Tao, etc ..)
truly be experienced
in only one little concept
by one narrowminded little fool? lol

Very nicely done! Truth, far more than breath, is a slippery subject that is very hard to write about without saying something that later (to you, maybe immediately for others) sounds stupid. You danced right through that minefield without a scratch. I tread on that ground only rarely, but here are a couple of one-liners that I still like.

Beauty is the face of truth, and love is its heart.

All things have many perspectives, even the truth. It's just that the truth looks the same from all sides.

A poem's just a poet in a word.

Wow. Synchronicity.

*"Is Eris true?"
"All things are true."
"Even false things?"
"Yes, even false things are true."
"how can this be?"
"I don't know man, I didn't do it."

*Malaclypse The Elder, lunatic.

A Letter of breath
from a symbol of air,
combined with the earth
lights a fire, so unfair.
As the root's in water.

Good one Uriah, you sparked a memory!

this poem reminds me of rumi (who is one of my very favorite poets)

i loved this!

for one giddy, careless moment, i was almost serene myself. it was a strange sensation, and it soon passed

In breath is life and life's core holds the truth. When we consciously breathe, we consciously live ... and so we are likely to discover Truth.

I love your poem, as it touches ... truth!

Love,
Margherita

Ah, yes...it is like smiling on a street full of strangers...when sharing a smile it infects people and they return it...the truth can be infectious as well...I love it...*big hugs*
