Carrie’s Quest

14 June 2006

Her heart were eyes of kindness
a spoken word, this night of sleep
Tears upon a pillow, nature not hers to alter
yet observation was her forte

Such gentleness wrapped up in kind
like a cotton tail expressed
Could she know this love was her warmth
like feathers dusted inside a duvet of amour

Where mankind took from creation
her soul addressed in ways torn
Some call it evolution
for her grace was more

That cuteness, that solitude
this land fermented with death
For her there was always tomorrow
while she did await those hedgerows to grow

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall
abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD,
He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt
thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. For he shall
give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”
Psalms 91: 1-2, 4, 11 KJV
