Rambling in the Unknown

Picking up the memories, their edges smooth,
surrounded by the use-to-be's,
I wait to shake off the wallflower feeling,
those passing thoughts that embed themselves
just below the skin, an infinite itch
to leave me wanting.

I see the truth hidden
among expressions of resentment,
feel the fear of a moment's mistake
wanting to break each fall with softness,
pillowed thoughts that will be a treasured tomorrow.

I make no sense in the sense
that tomorrow comes
and brings me more tomorrows
that become todays wishing for the todays to be yesterday...
wondering the invention of words.

Aloneness does not become me
as I sit surrounded only...
by words.

M

marvelous, this write and concept.  Don't you find, that no matter how you try and plan, destiny always seems to have it's way with us...

each and every moment is an adventure...and in our aloneness, we are never truly alone...

I find the more times change, the more people need that quality time of aloneness and are understanding the great harmony in it...due to our hectic everyday lives, people seem to be gravitating towards themselves...which is good, cuz if you love the company in self you keep, then relationships will come much easier...

just my mere way of thinking, isn't written in stone, that's for sure

Enjoyed your writing today...
hugs

Well, with the talented words that accompany you ...
I'd say you're in good company~

That was interesting....we're always wishing time away, whether for the future or the past. Well done!
