dance routine

words fumbled in surrender
as a frozen sea, lay in reward

one pebble on the beach, dared

issuing lustrous memories of two
two
in vivid vision like the
round face of a spinal cord
diva of adoration

then

time grows cubicals
        winter afternoons
                picking up broken hearts

transitions
         screaming bloody murder…

now
             mad
                              despair

pushing them toward
the worst of dark corridors
like an angry mob
with droning voices
designing living spaces

feeling close about them
sunny afternoon disposition
perhaps
a saving grace?
perhaps
an angle in their road?

ascending fatigue in
profound silence
zigzagging
wild,
like some
invisible messenger of fate

like breasts pointing at people
with eyes of consciousness
whispering
in
the
ears
of
human
rocks
until they turn
and apologize

what was it
that was once
soft silhouetted cameos
swimming across
heights of air
swooning from
intensity of emotions
wild fires
triggering some divine
mandate
lots of time workshops,
classes,
new moves
imaginations,
scooping up grains of sand
wrinkled,
grooved pleasures
growing grey hairs

despair
finds
spiritual
muscle

facing the rock of sight

waving plumes, screaming like gulls
“are you crazy, are you crazy, get
jiggy with the moonlight"

unwrapping chords about their wrists
letting the drop to the floor

remembering

what
encircled & disturbed
their
sultry
sleep

leaving them in short term vegetative states
breathless, shriveled
in a furnished room of Christmas
which they couldn't see or move to...

realizing, they are not the last leaf
at the far end of a damp cellar

they know each other’s secrets
watch the fires of some
enchanted time lost
sadly, they turn toward each other
embracing the loss

happens all the time,
change forms many gismos
learning how to arrange them
finds solutions
over
and over
again

touching the hair
of entangled nets
with life-roughened hands

remembering
early
mornings
sharing
coffee

their eyes
carrying flowers

biting the ear of love
sharing so much
so much

dripping with

Yes
        Yes
                Yeeeesssss

See
Understand
& enjoy your book
lift the anchor
set sail on day trips
there are no default
positions
in the face of life
most days are honest
some are depressive beasts
others drive to local towns
to the market
or fairgrounds
and some just sit
flapping the arms
of glossy wings
that dream of flying
but on this day,
sleeps in the hammock

Many times I wonder...
Are you in my head?  Or am I in yours?

Either way...I flatter myself.
Regardless... I feel ya.    ::smiles::
Great write !
