It would seem that I had this inclination
to write a sort of poetic declaration.
I asked my muse to vist, if she was so inclined
but she so chose to graciously decline.
With my thoughts then away she ran;
but I can still write...I think I can....

My muse was determined that I wouldn't write,
Ah! She knows me better, I just had to fight!
Through the words I painfully muddled
she laughed at me, but onward I struggled.
I reached through my heart, straight into my soul
{you see, she thought she had taken complete control!}

Each time she'd steal a thought and try to run away
another new word eased through to come into play.
She was tough, there was surely no doubt,
but she needed to learn what I was all about!
We battled ferociously throughout at times
while she tried to steal my well thought out rhymes!

NO, I would not give up, nor would I give in.
This time wasn't hers, I was going to win....

So I now present this as my final assertation~

I've still written my poetic declaration!!

{A repost until my muse decides to return again..}

and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

Most excellent Donna.
Perhaps your muse and mine ran off together to play.
Hugs and I know how you feel.

Donna

Maybe I better give the nudge back to you....those muses can be so unreasonable!  Enjoyed the grumble of this.

Hopefully, this will fuel the fires of
poetic desire and give you again the gift
of your talented thoughts...

Even though I have read this before,
I figured you might tweak it...
being that your muse is off somewhere
with my own...

and say...
"you see, she has me under her remote control"

it works, too!

I had to giggle at the note at the bottom.

Now this is something different. I enjoyed this civil war of wills.

Is it possible to make your muse an offer she can't refuse and create a core of collusion.
Nothing to the left of right or created through confusion.

The will that wins is often the one defeated
but if it's counter be inscribed the idea is completed.

...so much for moralizing!
