Grace of Day

08 June 2006

Where was a living poet
when death was grace of to day
This emphasis upon beauty
as if gone was not lost in caught

A balance of cycle
whether to a storm
For whom was reality
when again the artist did paint

Pictures, words for brushes
an empty horizon, sunlight to grey
Colour an enlightenment, crayons
of a child in hand, pencil sharp to wit

Never alone, but always longing
this skill, a talent in gift
For where was grace, liberty set free
fame and misfortune, even good poets die some day

“Destruction and death say,
We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.”
Job 28: 22 KJV

This is a very vivid piece. I can almost see the colors...
