Your cold-blooded
matter of fact
“I’m not the girl for you”, gaze
still sends
unanswered ring tones
of spongebob waterfalls
slumped over
your barbed wire smirk
didn’t you see
the scars embedded
in my flesh?
like unqualified
embarrassment grins
to my easy to understand
science based nudity
rubbing
against
your
nostrils
like a dare

Set in motion
by a now forgotten hand motion
melting into each other,
cross examining
way of life details
chanting,
praying,
walking the healing path
i’m untouchable,
unreachable
and still
emotionally wall papered
like
stand up bones
changing position
while pouring some insight
of soul wine
it was a miracle, yanno?
turning me
from a quadriplegic
to some
ghost dancer at wounded knee
someday
on the eve of telling
light of truth will
flip flop
namesakes through
the mirrors of
wet cultural buss stops
where i live to tell about it…
in a pitch of fever, sighing
“don’t let your life pass you by”
warm breath
smelling of moth balls
and all because
I was asleep for 40 years
stepping out
in front of the freight train
you drove
yes,
by the light of truth,
I lied about my epoch
& bridal dress
while pulling coins
from my pocket to pay
listening to my
despondent inner soul
it was my decade
hungry for the newness
after accepting a ride
from 3 chimpanzees
in the sweat lodge
of their underworld
my yellow ribbon
bearing a magnet
of valor,
in the killing fields of your
summer romance novels
You
the violin boy
Me
the penitent warrior
whom...
by the way...

loved you like anything!

feeding your ego, like always

Powerful poetry, Lee.  I wish that I could convey a fourth of the imagery you do!  Wow, do you pack a punch!

Can't see how you lost him unless you wanted to? Good morning sweet.

Sometimes we are too busy feeding everybody else's ego, that we forget to feed our own! We must remember that we are just as important as they are.

Your poetry never ceases to stir my emotions!

Big, warm hug-o-love,
Linda

The...
“I’m not the girl for you”

Makes me feel so much better...
Knowing that there is obviously someone far crazier than I am.   He has to be.

::smiles::    I find great comfort in that.

I dont think I can comment as I would want to, but people get the message and like hope's words it is good to see again.

I hope you mentioned the left as well as the right hand.
