Celestial Womb

In this light, my fingers slide into torn moments
Feeling for sensations of life, molding a face onto night
That I might see into truthful eyes the reality of darkness
Surprise moves as a winter storm through my desert heart
Silent as the drifts of sudden snow on dunes of molten gold
Shifting my awareness to autumn winds, acute in the season
Abandon of sinew and bone, to shed a costume of fate
For I anticipate the birth of stars

Within glows hot in summer sentiments
Dreams whisk away, vacant of form or substance
Only watermarks on sandstone cliffs, what was once
Forged in the fires of destiny and history
The cleave of garnet rivers carve deep and indelible
A blueprint of fidelity and faith
Searing the core with white flame, surging fuel to the trail
And so, the stars are born, a seed in the eye of desire
Cast upward to the open sky at night

In this light, the journey is the pique of an oval moon
Glowing red, purple and blue
Showing signature, ambassador of creations theme
Written on the black of an infinite canvas
A thousand lanterns, each it’s own flame
And all of one name, one night
Within my reach the wand of fantasy
Though I have not a doubt to seek
A sense of greatness leaves a thumbprint on my brow
For I have witnessed birth of stars somehow

The color of your poetry
always becomes a rainbow
of clarity...

well done, Kathleen

"For I anticipate the birth of stars"

Oh! That's all I can say TD. I am awestruck, or maybe star struck.

Td

Few words make me stop and read them

Words describe belief

Words can not tell of you

Words may be relief

In our travels we ship on failing ships

Decent ones travel

Often us beneath

Your words may seem chattel to those on poet's score

When quantity and little words

Matter more and more

And yet again your verse is born in delight of reading your words.

"And so, the stars are born, a seed in the eye of desire
Cast upward to the open sky at night"
