Now lying upon his thrown
his beard long and grey
His age he wore well
As his years final day

a withered smile rests
upon his still face
as mourners pass
to kiss his cheeks

A silent tribute
paid among the peaks
he dies with love
tear filled eyes speak

A mourning song spread
accross halls so long
while his bride wept
silent lonely and strong

His sword in hand
for the second time
he left his lands
for adventures rhymes

Yet back he looked
at those he left behind
before the light he took
and his ancestors to find.

I went to the desert on a horse with no name, it felt good to get out of the rain.
