Some Like

Some like sugar and some like spice
And some do well and some do vice
And some will dance the chaos song
And some will merely hum along

But what you do in mental tide
Is yours to show or yours to hide?
It is your choice to choose a course
You are the engine and the force

You are the heart beat and the drum
You are the fingers with a thumb
You are the time your sand to pass
So don’t screw up alack alas

There is no way for your retreat
Regardless of the pace of beat
There is but one directions path
So please jump in and take a bath

I’ll be there in the mornings bright
When dew drops sparkle in the light

Sometimes, even though we choose our course, it just doesn't work out. Wonderful poem, Sy. As always.

I am the paper and you are the word,
with each line is true sentiment heard;
speak not lies, but quiet tongue...
your wisdom keeps us forever young.

This is by far the most wise of the wisdom
that you have given us over the years.
How very true it is...we do set the course
of our own ship...

"You are the engine and the force"

I am?  I am?  I yam!  LOL
Thank you, Sy.  Some days I'm glad for fingers to feel my way along...others, I'm all thumbs, but that path demands exploration, regardless.
