This morning
I smoked the new Atlantis
marveling at how such things could be
enlarging a scope of speculation
this morning’s stroll, holds close,
one heck of a toak
I pretend
sometimes
the poems are words
that touch me like
you used to do
...deep within...

...when your there with me...

    ...and this morning you were!

that lottery ticket of soft September..
sun
brings maddening testimonials
of
logical conclusions....

finding it impossible
to shape barefooted thoughts
whistling furiously
in & out of my head
the hypothesis
being quit absurd
I smile
with wooly headed images
of perpetual merriment...

like that aristocratic
carriage
on some mountain
where we learned...
to hold love tenderly
if
just
for
a
moment
    then....

with a deep sounding sigh
I sink into the chair
by the window
tracing reflections
on the glass...

just to loose what I
scarcely owned

some recollection
of the evening before

and
sublime resolution...
considering the means
for this common
person’s
passage
into the luxury
& privilege
of that rose

you gave me
do you know
you gifted me...

with not one red cent...

but

because of you

I

own

ever widening circles

where mortality exisits

where frowns
are
no longer painful
they turn into
some genius
steamship
of independence hall

we were

the mother of invention

with undercurrents
of feelings
that sigh
deeply
into audible giggles
twinkles of humor
and
a reason for it all

Oh Lord, how closely intimate
is love
there IS nothing else...

never falling short
of offering
dignity
purpose
and palm trees
that
never wave alone...

I don't believe one ever looses love, but is forever blessed by the experience of it...

regardless of what the other person knew or felt
if you've felt real true love, life thereafter can only be good...

I could not, even if they paid me a million, write such awesome lines like you

I admire that about you

Very much enjoyed!  You have always had such a way with imagery that sends me on skipping
stones from image past!  Take this one line for example, that lottery ticket of soft September..

and then

"never falling short
of offering
dignity
purpose
and palm trees
that
never wave alone...

I don't believe one ever looses love, but is forever blessed by the experience of it..."

Such wonderful thoughts beautifully expressed!
