“Look, look” but they always have known
everyday mountains never can move
but me, not me, I thought to fly
into the air of time delays
because, because, waiting somewhere
the eyes of a boy not yet a man.

Along the route from shallow to deep
a lifetime of cars, busses, and trains,
broke down on the hills, missed the corners,
and landed in ditches of the ill equipped
to arrive at the junction of enlightened minds.

But I hastened on ~ straight ahead, through
propelled by a force that nobody knew
could twist outcomes according to need
and wrap the loose and unaware
into a womanly curl
secured by the pins of love.

And the boy, the boy, not yet a man;
who can know by the smooth and sleek
whether a curve ever can be
in the straight and supposedly right
waiting, waiting, waiting somewhere,
for the solid and staid to veer off the page
when plotting the course of fate.

It’s all in the wait, the waiting to be
grown up in a strange and unusual belief
but the woman I am and the man you will be
will one day collide at the junction of “soul” ~
and I ask, my love, will you know me
and call out my name three times?

Helen, I pulled out these lines because they speak to me, too.  All we can do is hope, I guess.   ....jo

Helen

I think that love knows no boundaries of time, distance or age....like the soul.

Jo and Martie - thank you - for being here!  Your feedback is always most welcome.

LeeJ - You are most times right in your interpretations and this time is no exception.  I never looked at it that way before but, yes, he has painted something that if not exactly beautiful is at least different ~ and then he let it go.

Dear Honeybunch,

Thanks for your writing.  "To arrive at the junction of enlightened minds," was worth the reading alone. Thanks for stretching my mind this morning!  BJ

Helen...

for you, perhaps
one of my sisters
will have a repost...

as you reminded me
in your curling ways
of a favorite...

just as this is meant to be.
