You all wondered of the dog
and his dog-gone loyalty
jumping just ahead
as she
screamed that he return:

Dorothy
was standing there
innocently
as she dreamed
Toto wriggled
out her arms
and there was nothing left
but "meeeeeeeee"

as he hopped
the last flight out
and had he digits
he would be
shooting her the finger as
he barked at her
and Dorothy
wept for lack of doggie thumbs
weeping for disloyalty
as he wagged the Holy Grail
licking wizard in the flail
of ropes and hopes
and damn the nails
that were spawned by devil's wail

and a chalice

underneath

capturing the blood

that bleeds

someplace

somehow

grieve the need

down the dawn--

with the spaces
inbetween

and narrow rays of light
are drawn
digging in the river's edge

I am

a lastling dredge
spitting mud
of useta be

prayers

on my knees and that

is all that I will call the "Cap"

down upon the Rigolets

where the stuff is muck

and dread

is all that is the rest of us--

sucking like a succubus

wishing I were dead as this:

Words of yesterday and it's

dictionary

and a hiss

of a kitten

gambling

as if, as if,
we'd not done it
of teeny tiny pudd.y lips
and paws
with claws
retracted

it's

the same as what it was...

because of this

and purple lips
and irises

sing the desperation "O"s

wailing all the "ooh-wah-was"

swallowing the yesterdays

of everything we thought we was

and all the edges of the graves

that didn't cave the sides of six

feet

as healthy in the ground.

You all wondered at the dog.
I wondered if he was at all
leaping just ahead of me--
paws in print subconciously
of what I needed to be true

as I slept in that bad fog

naming all of you

I ought

to dream it all again...

Up late I see...lol.  Seriously, you know I get it this time.  Just call me Scarecrow, Dorothy....if I only had a brain.  The depth of this is much deeper than the grave and the muck, me knows.  (Oh....and I like the "narrow ray of light" line, too.)  jojo loves ya

And this,

and a chalice

underneath

capturing the blood

that bleeds

someplace

somehow

grieve the need

down the dawn--

with the spaces
inbetween"

OMG ... You!!

I am always impressed with your work
serenity. It strikes me in many ways.

thank you kind Lady--yer a doll.

And just for clarification, I didn't mean to imply that anything I write is "over someone's head"--as Uriah said, it appears to be as an inkblot--and this one, as well as the last two, were based entirely on gab fests that Illiana Jo-Jo and I had have had recently.

But it's fun to tease her a bit--grinning wicked, she is a delight to talk with and I am much appreciative to her for keeping me company in the wee hours of the morning.

Love to all, but especially you, Jo.

thank you lovie

Reality is an ink blot.  LOL    Atleast...thats my point of view.   Right now I'm just all giddy inside.   One of my fixations had a thought about me and even gave it manifestation.   ::smiles::    groovy

Wicked is on my list of books to read this summer.

And, as always, this is fantastic.

It's great to have someone "understand" where the heck you are coming from isn't it?  I am glad you were able to write out how it actually feels.  It's still raining here

serenity,
When it rains you are my sun
When I'm sad you are my fun.
