 Artist: Claude Monet Lover's Kiss ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ In long shadows by the levees when the blazing day was done, He gathered me in muscled arms, bronzed gold by southern sun. Tall grass cooled our burning skin as we soaked up one another, Inhaling sweet wisteria and the essence of each other. Dreamily we lie beneath a weeping cypress tree, Together in our lovers’ world, made of only him and me. Our hearts beat together with the pulse of nature sounds, As stirrings in our flesh and souls knew no earthly bounds. Enwrapped in limb and spirit, we were one that summer’s eve. Our passions rose in unison as we did give and receive.. We lie there in the evening shade, in the glow of loving bliss, Pledging forever faithfulness that we sealed with lover’s kiss.
