For The Winter

I have a fondness for the winter,
when the air is brisk and brings a desire
to come home after a long day out
to get warm and cozy by the fire.

I have a fondness for the winter,
when memories come to light
and make me smile within the glow,
bringing poetry to my pen, I write.

I have a fondness for the winter,
when life can make me easily tire,
I rejuvenate and visit my muse
as we sit beside the fire.

That place, so welcoming and good....who wouldn't want to be there, and especially with a companion who feels it in the way you do? Six-letter word....begins with "H"...........

Very cozy. Who better to visit with than the muse?

ode to freezing my butt off, if you want winter, come knock upon my door, as to the muse, apply within.

Oh, I do miss a nice fire in a house - nothing like staring into those dancing flames.

You got that in one

I still think of the Holly hanging from a greengrocer's store, now I grow it on a mortgage, but it just doesn't seem the same
