Plain
No makeup
Grief upon her lips
She pushes the shopping cart
Alone
With a single loaf of bread

She feeds herself
Every night

Spare Rib under her arm
Spare Rib under her chin

escaping

she finds herself

and the future is another world

Yes I do relate to this

There is something special about this piece.  It could be anyone of us and all of us.  I like that you didn't embellish and make it wordy.  The simple design gives it power...Nice job.  Take care, Liz...Carpe Diem

Going through the motions disconnectedly --  I see this vividly, and think of the poverty grief bestows.  ~ K

Reminds me of the inner grief that many experience...they couldn't find there way out...and many fall by the wayside as a result...James
