To Let You Go
AMK 5/29/2006

The years have passed
As the seasons blend together
Time can not erase the memories
They are locked in my heart forever

I replay the ending
Again and again in my mind
If I could do it differently
I would...but it's not that easy to rewind

I still love you yes...
Truth is I probably always will
You're just a ghost now
There is no way to make it real

Do you ever think of me
If so, what does your heart say
If we were to meet again
Would you ask me to stay?

"When life gives you sorrow, may you experience the spirit of laughter"

A very heartfelt piece Amy.
Thankyou for sharing this today.

Amy~
So good to see you ... love the new photo~

Rewind is merely a playback with the same ending ...
but a remind is what makes us want to hear it played again with a different ending~

Happy Memorial Day~

brilliant..its hard looking back at past relationships and forever trying to answer old questions cus i truely think if you cared for someone, you never really get over it..you just learn to deal with things better with time..

Hi Amy good to see you again

love the new picture!

I do understand the feelings in this poem, I do. Time passes though...it gets easier.

There is pain underneath the surface of this...but a bravery of moving forward..thank you..

Thank you all for reading me. I haven't had much time for poetry as of lately, but this little piece found its way to the surface.

I suppose when we truly love someone so deeply, we don't get over it...we just as you all have said move on the best we can.

Good to see you all again.

Take care.
