this is one of the shortest poems that took the longest to write *It's my favorite* it's very speacial to me

The Dive

It starts out with a question

How much of it is real?

Rabbits become vultures
Cultures become Veal
a party becomes a funeral
Sunlight turns into cancer
the rain turns beautiful
An unusual question becomes an answer
You found yourself falling into madness

So you dove

The best thing you ever did was let go

So here you are, and now you understand

You always were here

That’s why you always ran

but you can only run away for so long

before you catch up with yourself

And become part of the fog

I'd like to welcome you,

To the heaven you've created

I tell the truth,

This is the wisdom of the ancients
Holding onto something contradicts my being,
So fly free

Maybe I had to go crazy to get where I am
I felt myself slipping away and I let myself fall
Gotta lose your mind before you find it
And when you finally find it you'll find out you never lost it at all

This poem takes a circuitous route and arrives at the beginning again -- in that sense, it is has cohesion, but did the question get answered? How much of it is real? Or has the trip made the question irrelevant? Thanks for posting this poem.
