Cockroach Follies

The little cockroach scurries
across the wooden floor.
Crumbs underneath the
refrigerator will be quite
the delightful treat.
He doesn't notice the
shadow that descends
upon him until my shoe
splatters his existence
in every direction.

I guess he won't be
dining with us today.
