In sapphire reflections
is told a tale;

his tale
of life shaded in shadows,
haunts of past
still hold him there
yet love of life
is so alive

when windows to the soul
twinkle ever so slightly.
I hear the song;

his song

I feel the calm,
in voice so strong;
and I savor every word
clinging to the light
that comes shining through
and I;

I listen in the silence
to this melody
of such beauty
and tragedy,
knowing each second
is oh so sweet...

Dear gentle of man
return soon to me
so that I can hear again
the rhapsody
when your eyes speak
in hues of youth,
aged with wisdom
and learned truths..

Come speak again, softly
oh eyes of blue
while whispering to me
the story of you.

If I have touched just one heart through my words, then I have achieved my dream..

GentlePoetess~
You touch a beautiful melody within your word-keys~

*sigh* ... breathtaking heart-rendered piece~

The remembered melody of love returns ...
long after the spotlight has dimmed~

Very beautiful poem.  I like a lot of the words you use. I too pine in silence for someone and I can relate to this one.  Keep at it.

Donna....Such a plea, so quietly strong, would be hard not to yield to.

~sigh~
can't find the right words
but heard the song,
embraced the feelings,
and sent a hug
across the blue
