Still....

still....
I’m afraid I always will....

look into these eyes
and you will see
someone looking
for something
that used to be

a woman haunted
by his memory

sentimental sadness
in brown eyes brimming
with tears refusing to flow
a heart still holding on
still unwilling
to let him go

a furtive fluttering
of moist eye lashes
attempt to blink
this love away

still.....

oh still....
I’m afraid I never will....

i love how i can relate to this. awesome write. basic enough to convey the feeling, but complex enough to express the desperation of the woman.

I relate to this more than I could ever express.....I feel your words and I know this worry, this longing....beautiful and bitter to read accompanied by a perfect picture.

Memories are like ghosts that pop up every once in a while just to remind us that they're still there. Very poignant write, SEA.

I find the pain makes me let go and move on...only when you let go can you see the beauty of someone new...otherwise you are comparing them to the one you are holding on to...and how can they measure up to that...James
