(Pic by Martie with thanks to Sunshine for helping me post it)

Reflecting Tool

Reflect
on the next minute  yes
I can see the cool pool
twice is nice
one as straight as almost real
the other curved to focus feel

Wait   the sky is at ready
and the slippery trees look up
wet with the telling
I want to see them all
but my eyes fall into stretch
and focus on another place

Where did it go?
the trick to know placement
aligned just right I can almost see
the light
-----
since surgery I've been seeing double...interesting but disconcerting especially when there is already more than one.

Dear beautiful (((((Martie))))), your words reflect so powerfully this frustrating situation. Wishing you that everything will fall into place again quickly.

Love and hugs.

MzMartieSis~
Know what I think ?
It's just so totally unfair ...
with your poetess eyes you already saw more than most of us ... now here you are blessed with doubling that amount !!!

As little Miss Landry would say, (and often does) ... "It not fair!"

Beautiful you are in my eyes dear sweet lady~

Thanx dear one for sharing with us....I had
a suspicion this had a lot to do with your
eyes...  Tell me,  which set of lips do you
put the lipstick on..??  Just being silly,
I know you will understand...

Hope you continue to heal and get well soon.

"twice is nice
one as straight as almost real

so now that you see quadruple what most see...
love the way you turn possible negatives
into definite positives

Listening to every heart

When I first had the opportunity to reflect on this pool of pondering, I saw curves, and gentleness.

Then I felt clarity, and cool emotions...cool, in the sense that there was a quiet calm about the aura...

and then I sensed division, of time, of spirit, of sensibilities...

some photos catch me up and make me listen.  What I heard, was your voice.

Look, Sissie...

And I did.

That you have put words to a moment that encompassed your inner wrangling of discomfort, only makes us see, sense, feel, all the more.

So what if your eyesight doesn't straighten out, just so?  Marge said it best...you've always seen beyond us anyway.

I'm thinking that He is just giving you a new way to show us the talents you've always possessed...and that, my dear sister, will be a very good thing for all of us.

At the moment you have a unique (if most unwanted) view of the world...so your mind is trying to make sense of it..as it hits your Iris, light is curved..throwing you ...but creating ''new eyes'' to see with..interesting write here Martie..you almost allow us to see what it is like under your condition..very hard to present but very well done thank you..

Beautiful write, Martie!  I am sorry to hear about your eyes and hope for a speedy return to normal.  I'm quite used to seeing double - have had a slight but unnoticeable squint all my life. The static dances!

Marite, that must be so frustrating for you...I think I would go bonkers... I hope things get back to "one view instead of two" for you really soon!

Martie

lovely words, and images....hope you are better really soon, and good to have you back...

And so it those we live with
and should know who elude us
But we can still love them
we can love completely
without complete understanding

Martie, your eyes may be playing tricks on you, but you sure as anything know about placement of your words!  You put perfect words in perfect places with a perfect result.

And I know you know I love the photo!

It's a full balance, isn't it -- between what is real and what seems to be unreal but is real in a different way. You are one of the lucky ones, whose sight doesn't end at the horizon.....it sees the inversion and within it, the reality that is something else.

Reflecting Tool is precisely right....because you use the reflecting of something real to show us the inner reality. If "gift" rhymed with "pool," that would work too, because this poem is exactly that.

no matter where you go, or what events occur, you always seam them brilliantly to share so we can frame those moments in our minds and be there with you...
Your a gem of a poet...love the new picture, and also seeing your part of the earth out there in sunny California.  Are the poppies in bloom?
