True love comes knocking on the wooden door
and stands beside the fire of burning coal.
In wait the moment when two loves explore
as lightning flashes brightly thunder rolls.

A kiss perhaps shall calm the waiting fears
which bring to clutch the racing aching heart.
And each shall bring a hand to wipe one’s tears
before the pouring rain tears love apart.

For if the calm were lost before the storm
no mind would find a moment to conspire.
Then both would leave behind a waiting arm
as cherubs played a tune upon their lyre.

To wait the storm is torment to one’s soul
and keeps two hearts in search of but one goal.

This is beautiful - I love every line, especially the last 2 lines.

Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world!

lovin this too....nicely done Barry

And so it those we live with
and should know who elude us
But we can still love them
we can love completely
without complete understanding
