Dancing underneath the stars,
spinning in the thin
'round and round and round
and back again
rainbow dancing lights
in surround sound twirl me,
swirl about the clouded thoughts
within me
sending me
free falling
to the ground
where I am found
embracing stormy seas...
I drown,
ebbing in emotional waves,
cresting thoughts held close to breast,
carefully covered in moon beams
sent to make me rest
while fireflies glow,
dance themselves into a trance
of nature’s screams, hidden things,
things of the night
the daylight cannot fathom

and so again tonight at midnight
I'll dance within
starlight and a moonbeam’s glow,
let it spin me into
the thin spaces

beyond

this reminds me so much of the kind of poems my friend in Ohio writes, so your words touched a heart here

a poet who cares

I know, it's almost the whole poem...
but this is the part I liked best...awesomely awesome
