Postings left layered
stayed a day or two
curled at corners
crumpled.

Bitter chocolate
thought as sweet
taste buds detect
natural cocoa
less the sweet

A posting
a calling
for shop windows
accept tape
then as calendar days
strip the ad
of its lustre
an aftertaste
peeks through

Each ad upon the next
who calls first
or comes last
calendar paper days
crumble
turn to ash
on grander scales
ripped by gales
for an incomplete
purpose

Chocolate stains
on window panes
left over tidbits
near crumpled news
of ads posted
calling for:
a musician
a soundman
a daycare
community news
unemployed blues
viewed but untasted
taped in layers
tearoffs peeled
urgently
as calendar days go
the way of bitter chocolate
tasted for missing sweetness
tried for experience.

bitter chocolate
thought as sweet
tried for value
aftertaste to keep

It is the little things
that take day
into evening twilight...

Always enjoy the sound,
and taste...
of your poems, Martin!

Someone called it poetic impressionism, not that it matters..a coincidental title for me
