Twas the storm last night
With the new sensors working
And we had delight
As the handles kept
Turning

Doors opened and closed
Automatic you guessed
Dinner a burn
Thank you
No Guests

As ageing meat moved to concern
Telling the fridge
This for
We yearn

Checking our time and meals to the Crust
Smelling the burning
To order
With thrust

From our immediate
Ordering system
Order by thunderstorms
When we only
Whisper

Desert gone
And all that was left
Was
One great
Big
Gooey Mess

End of the storey
We are in heaven
Because
The door handles
They catch on

Edges and clothing

Delighted

Ignited

And rune

A good tail

But brass above

It was good

On the rail

Make your contribution

To EBay just soon

A swoon for a lawyer

Or just a basoon

And by the way

They're

Up

Here

Real Soon

"And all that was left

To address the literal side of this write:
I've been known to make a meal that looks like that gooey mess to begin with, and still said bon appetit with a smile.
I'm not all that fond of fully automatic gadgets and doors. I mow my small lawn with an old fashioned reel mower...no 'lectric or gas. But I like my high speed internet, a fast PC, good music and wine.

Midnitesun

I still have a plate of stew on, but only with non-frozen veg.

I dont automatic but this idea of the house being fully wired up and the fridge talking to the cooking whilst you carry a bar code on your back to identify you incase you end up for three minutes on a 9, does make me think.

I barked my lawn, usually in the earlier hours of the morning, when I howl.

Hand shears for what is left and I work in IT, when I am working.

The DVD of Simon and Garfunkel is a drug to me and red wine also - too much so.

an enjoyable journey

I remember somewhere writing a poem about people turning up at Heaven and finding it had shutdown at 7.00 pm and could they come back next morning.

Thanks for your comments

Dave...my freezer let me down yesterday and everything started to defrost...those beautiful trout from the river gone soft...made me realize how dependent we are on that soft hummed machine.  Enjoyed this!

Dave, you made me see the scene. Automatism has surely its negative sides!

I don't like the automatic doors in the busses either, if the system shuts down, you are trapped ...

A wonderful read you have wrote my friend.

man will not himself find peace."
