A Pebble in my Shoe

I lay a pebble in my shoe
To stay the pain of missing you
The weighty loss the change of course
The saddling of waves of dross

To stop illusion of conceive
To will the courage of believe
To fight the battle nights recline
And shift my dreams into divine

It is a dispatch to my goal
That penetrates into my soul
It is an ache of wondrous awe
For I can stand the pain no more

I search the shadows of my lot
To find the arrow cupid shot
But I suspect it melted down
And holds me in a covers gown

To stay a shawl of lace and grace
Into the evermore each place

"It is an ache of wondrous awe

Loved these lines in yet another easy flowing poem from the pen of an expert.

Lines that ring true to all those who have hoped for more pleasant dreams. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Wonderful write Sy.  If only pebble in a shoe could divert the pain in a heart.

believe in what your heart feels...

If only that would do the trick... I'd fill my shoes with gravel! *S*

I like this very much, my friend.
