Another old write uncovered.

Sinners and Saints
  ************
Well the trails I've rode
may not show,
but there's scars
that mark the stops.

Theres weeds from those
wild seeds I sowed,
because I had quite a crop.

I knew full well
that I was bound for Hell

I was proud of all my sins.

But, you don't have
to be scared now.

That was way back then.

Those old hard roads
took their toll
on my body and my mind.

I was runnin' with the Devil
and sometimes he fell behind....

Then...

I ran head on into Jesus
and he drove me to my knees.

He knocked out every one
of the things I'd done

and then he set me free.

Now, I know where I'm going.

It don't matter where I've been.

Each day,  I praise God, knowing
He's forgotten all my sins.

It dont matter what you think of me
or how many stones you cast.

Every sinner has a future
and there's no saint without a past.

Now, I dont want to talk about
All the things I've done.

There aint no doubt...
If word got out...
You'd turn around and run.

But, that was then...
and this is now.

That old mans dead and gone.

If the Lord received the likes of me...
Then, what are you waitin' on?

Now some say...
They aint been so bad...

So God wont be too tough.

But , no matter how good
you think you've been...

You aint been good enough.

Without the Lord
We all fall short.

Our steps can't win the race.

The only way is to kneel and pray
and seek His saving grace.

Yes, I know where I'm going
and it dont matter where I've been.

Each day, I praise God, knowing
He's forgotten all my sins,

And it dont matter what you think of me
or how many stones you cast...

Every sinner has a future
and there's no saint without a past.

I usually avoid the Gospel messages like the plaque around my teeth, since you dont do it in the first and then and seek release, because that helps only you, who did it.

Praying before you order people to kill or be killed is beyond comtempt.

Your words and your feelings yes, but religion as an excuse and don't bother me, I've been forgiven - like hell

I live with anything and everything I might have done but the biggest hyprochrites I've ever know are those who embrace religion and carry on every day with the activities without changing their spots, looking for the whitewash tomorrow.

I enjoyed this immensely, Uriah.  It was a good way to celebrate the return to health of Skyfire's horse Shammie.

You could not have offered Him a more well constructed, prayer of respect then this. It reminds me of how transparent David always was.

"Every sinner has a future
and there's no saint without a past."

That's certainly the truth!  And, yes, it could very well be a song.

Dear Uriah,

You are way beyond your critics since they do not understand grace!  Write on.  BJ

That's one of the best quotes about Christianity that I've ever read. Perhaps there's even some inspiration in those lines for me. Thank you.
